You know the nursery rhyme? “Rain, rain, go away….come again, another day..”

How about a remix..

“Rain, rain go away…and never come back”..(well not until Winter).

I haven’t experienced such a rainy day in a while, it’s literally rained all day long, non-stop, which means I haven’t left the house and have been unable to walk my dogs too.

Which means, I did house-bound things like;

Bake a cake…I used a recipe from Jenna over at Style Bandit Diaries. Say bonjour to my la Blu-Mon (that’s blueberry and lemon cake).

I ate ice-cream…I picked up a tub of a new flavour from Ben & Jerry’s, it is AHH-MAZING! It’s called ‘Dough-ble Whammy’, a combo of cookie dough and chocolate fudge brownie with a fudge core….

…with a dollop of this goodness…

Then, I had to wash my everyday make up brushes (I have around 30 in total), I hate doing this to be honest and I usually wash them once a week, but because I have been so busy…I left it a fortnight (PUKE FACE). It felt so good washing out all the grime. I use warm water and fairy liquid..but you can buy a brush cleaning kit from Cocktail Cosmetics.

Girls Gone RAW

So, thanks to my wonderful lil elfin buddy, Kirsty, my sisters and I got to go to WWE RAW at the O2 Arena.

I KNOW, wrestling is all acting….but it is SO much fun! All the theatrical stunts, the dialogue, the er…eye candy. Which girl wouldn’t want to look at buff, tanned, hairless hunks in lycra?

I was GUTTED my teenage crush  (and still to this date), The Rock wasn’t there, but ah well…it was great watching everyone having a great time, families, kids, teenagers. It was such a good vibe, the wrestlers sure know how to get the crowd chanting.

Popping like it’s Hot Popchips giveaway

I am not known for my love of crisps, I am a chocolate gal. However, I am addicted to popchips, I eat them everyday with my lunch and now everyone at work is into them too.

Hollywood Glamour from Erno Laszlo

I do love a good event and I only attend a new product launch when I am genuinely interested in the brand or if I am curious about the new product being launched.

When I heard about the return of Erno Laszlo to the UK, I was most pleased and full of excitement, anticipating what wonderful products would be making a comeback.

I first encountered Erno Laszlo when I was to young to actually use the products. I was 17, working as a Make Up Artist for Calvin Klein and a fellow Make Up Artist (bugs me that I can’t remember her name!) left to work for Erno Laszlo, she (like my mum) swore the products were miracle workers.

So, for those of you who don’t know about the brand, I will give you a brief overview. Erno Laszlo was a Hungarian dermatologist who moved to New York and opened the Erno Laszlo Beauty Institute (he was the first to add sunscreen into skincare). The Erno Laszlo Institute was aimed at the rich and famous; Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly were among some of his regular clients.

The product range launching into the UK are based on some of his most famous clients; Marilyn Monroe (yes, she even had him make a special scar cream, see picture below, scar cream is to the left with the sticky label on which reads ‘scar cream’).

 This is Marilyn’s ACTUAL personal collection, worth £24k.

The other iconic beauties in the range include;

Grace Kelly – Refresh Moisture Infusion

I am just so happy to see an iconic brand launch a proper beauty regime rather than a quick fix, like a lot of brands are doing now for our ‘convenience’.

Erno Laszlo launches into Harrods this month. It’s worth visiting the counter to see the stunning skincare consultant, she gave me some excellent tips and tricks, (such as splashing my face with water 30 times).

A week of YSL lips

Good day to y’all,

I saw lil K-Poc from Beautyfulfilled last night and naturally we got talking all things beauty, from Revlon lip butters (personally, I think Carmex Moisture Plus is way better and you get more) to my YSL lipstick collection.

On my last count, I had 10 and recently acquired another one (oops). YSL lipsticks are my absolute FAVE and I highly recommend them to all my girlfriends (and male friends, for their special lay-dees).

The range of colours are glorious, the creme finish is a dream and the quality is like no other (similar to Tom Ford) but I prefer YSL for the range of colours.

Anyhow, I am going to do a week of YSL lipsticks, so I will tweet a pic each day of the week wearing a different colour. If I have time to edit/crop etc then I might blog about my ‘week of YSL’ lipsticks as well.

I’ll be starting my week of YSL tomorrow..eek. I would love to read your feedback/thoughts on the colour of the day.
